Workshops
Our workshop is an educational experience for those interested in learning about hand skill development and handwriting strategies. The workshop can be individualized to meet your programs needs. Please discuss your interests with us so we can make this expericence the most educational for you and your staff! The workshop will be at your location. Days and time of the workshop will be discussed individually with you to meet your needs.
Workshop Objectives
- To learn the importance of teaching handwriting
- To understand the stages of hand skill development
- To learn about the different pencil grasps seen by teachers and how they affect academic progress
- To discuss common pre-writing or handwriting challenges students may have
- To review established handwriting programs
- To discuss common fine motor problems seen in the school environment
- To take great ideas back from the “hands on” lab
Who Should Attend?
- Preschool teachers teaching 3 to 5 year olds
- Primary grade teachers (kindergarten through 2 nd grade)
- Any staff working with children in an educational environment
- Parents interested in learning about hand skill development and handwriting

Workshop Costs
- $300 for a 2 hour workshop*
- For workshops with more than 20 participants, there is an additional charge of $30 for additional materials
