Pre-Writing Program
The Handwriting Detective Club preschool program concentrates on skills necessary for future writers, such as coloring, cutting, simple drawings and teaching letter awareness using the Handwriting Without Tears preschool program and multisensory techniques.
Difficulties addressed during preschool groups include:
- Upper body coordination and strength
- Crayon/ Marker grasp
- Shape formation
- Representational drawings (i.e. person, house, etc.)
- Scissor skills
- Uppercase letter formation (depending on the child's age and readiness skills)
- Coloring skills
